There are various joint MD/MBA programs offered by the universities in the state of New York, including the Union Graduate College, New York University, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Stony Brook University, Cornell University, University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, and so on.
Union Graduate College –
The MD/MBA in Healthcare Management from Albany Medical College and Union Graduate College is designed to provide individuals with business understanding specific to the medical career. The College of Business and the Medical School at Stony Brook University have created a combined MD/MBA program to prepare students for a management career in the health care field. Students in this combined program will complete MBA courses including finance, financial accounting, marketing, leadership, operations management, etc.
Cornell University –
Weill Medical College of Cornell University has partnered with The Johnson School of Management at Cornell University to offer the MD/MBA dual degree for students who want to pursue a career in medicine and business.
University at Buffalo, The State University of New York –
The School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and the School of Management jointly offer a five-year program leading to both MD and MBA degrees. Students in this dual degree program will participate in a cohort or learning community with a group of full-time MBA students.
Columbia University –
The MD/MBA program at Columbia University is designed to educate the next generation of leaders for the health care system. Graduates of this program may pursue a career as a hospital executive, a health care system CEO, or the dean of a medical school.
